What is Party Plan? Good question. Party Plan is a specific method employed to sell merchandise. It is where you make contact with a host or hostess who agrees to hold a "party" at his/her home and invite family, friends, associates, etc. The "party" is not like a real party in the true sense of the word but merely a get-together of people with tea or small snacks provided. Then a demonstration and/or sales talk is provided in an attempt to get the visitors to buy something. A commission on sales made at the party is paid to the host or hostess.
To start up with this business, you will need a product or range of products to market. These products can be your own or you can become a distributor of established companies who sell products like tupperware, herbal products, cookware, vacuum cleaners, etc.
You will then start contacting all your family, friends, associates and convince them to act as host or hostess at their own homes for a commission of sales sold at the event. They will be required to invite their own friends, families, associates, etc to the event.
You then attend this party, demonstrate your products and attempt to get orders. Payment and delivery of the products bought can be arranged at the same time.
To expand your reach, you can even convince some people at the party to become hosts themselves and host parties for you in return for a commission. You will find that even if they don't buy from you, they might consider hosting parties for you instead. In this way, the cycle continues so that you will have a constant stream of parties to sell your products.
