Home Business 34 - Make Money With A Residential Cleaning Service

Home and apartment cleaning services are gaining in popularity due the increased demand caused by more and more women seeking full time employment. You can cash in on this demand by starting up and operating a residential cleaning service that can be managed from your own home.

Absolutely no experience is required - everyone knows how to dust, clean, vacuum, make the beds, take out the trash, etc. However a prerequisite to success in this type of business is that you must be willing to perform this type of work and are comfortable with it. If you are not and feel that this type of work is degrading - then this opportunity, although greatly lucrative, is not for you.

You will set up this business from home where it can be fully managed. You'll need a phone, some supplies and a corner of your home to call your office.

You will then need some cleaning equipment, cleaning fluids and a vehicle. You could use your own or the client's when you get there. You obviously need to establish this before you actually pitch up for the cleaning.

Advertising your service is, quite obviously, a vital component to your success. You can do this with newspaper ads probably in the home section or use message boards and fliers.

It is envisaged that you will offer an ongoing service to your clients maybe a few times a week or once a week. You will bill them and take payment on a monthly basis. The aim is to get many clients lined up who will use your service on a permanent basis.

When clients call, enquire what they need done and price accordingly. If they are happy with that, then you may book them for an apointment.

You could also offer your regular clients a contract which can be cancelled anytime by any party on a thirty day notice period. Get an attorney to help you with this.

If this type of business appeals to you and you feel you can make it work, then go for it. This is most definitely a high profit business that requires only an investment of you time and organizational skills to become successful.
