Why not provide a much needed service for business executives and cash in big at the same time? Start up and operate a greeting card sending business from your own home.
It works like this. Business people are extremely busy and do not have the time to remember and send greeting cards to their staff, clients, business associates, etc. This is an important part of doing business as it scores well with people when they receive a greeting card for Christmas, their birthday, etc.
Depending on which country you come from, you should cover holidays, birthdays, religious occasions, etc. You will provide this service for many business people at once. Each business person will send you a mailing list and details of each of their recipients, for example: date of birth, gender, religion, etc.
You then store this information in a database you create for each of your clients. You then let your clients pick the type of card he/she wants to send for each occassion. As soon as that occasion arrives, you mail out the greeting cards.
In order to start this home business, you will need to have a good computer with a database program that can also print out mailing labels.
Finding clients to provide this service for is not difficult at all. Locate business and professional people in your area and convince them to try your service. You can also source your clients from the Yellow Pages. You can even take out an ad in the Yellow Pages yourself, advertising your greeting card service.
Another great way to get clients is to advertise in high-end business publications, magazines, etc.
You aim is to have at least 25 clients signed up with each client sending out 500 cards or more per year. You will base your charges on a per card sent basis.
